Physical Exam for Adult Drug Use Problems
A physical exam is one way your doctor looks for signs of drug
use problems or
dependence. During your physical exam, your doctor may
check for:
- Nose or lung problems from using cocaine.
- Needle
marks from injecting drugs.
- Small, "pinpoint" pupils in your eyes.
- A fast heart rate.
- Sweating.
- Slurred speech.
- A runny nose or
watery eyes.
- Liver problems.
