Services

We offer our patients a full range of psychological and psychiatric services in a supportive and confidential environment.

Psychiatrist Dr. Carey Cottle, Dr. Jason Hansen,  Teresa Hurst P.A.-C, Nurse Practitioners Jessica Carter, NP,  Regina Mozingo, NP, and Brian White, NP, psychologist Dr. Andy Mitchum, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors  Holly Ingram, and Chris Andrews, and Elizabeth Brooks and Social Worker Debbie Dowd, MSW, work with individuals to help them adjust to life changes, learn better ways to cope with stress, recover from past hurts,  make difficult decisions, improve relationships and deal with grief, and change troubling habits and personality traits. Less severe problems can be treated briefly in a few sessions, while more complicated and difficult problems may require a longer commitment. Some therapists also provide couples and family therapy.

Psychological testing is available from Dr. Andy Mitchum to clarify emotional and psychological issues, assess problems in thinking and memory, measure intelligence, and guide placement and treatment decisions.

Common concerns include:

  • Depression, mood swings, sleep, appetite changes
  • Anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, stress
  • Bipolar disorder and mood disorders
  • Grief, loss and recovery from abuse and trauma
  • Alcohol, drug and other addictive behaviors
  • Schizophrenia, dementia, and less severe problems in thinking such as ADD
  • Adjustment to chronic medical problems such as diabetes, heart disease and chronic pain
  • Relationship problems, parenting concerns, marital and sexual issues, and marriage preparation
  • Adolescent counseling
  • Post traumatic stress disorder
